| Professional Exchange : Exchange Conditions of NMSA(Norway) | |
| Level of studies | Clinical level, have relevant clinical experience in the medical fields they apply. |

| Languages | Norwegian or English. |
| Duration of Clerkship | 4 weeks |
| Working Conditions | Monday - friday, 5 hours a day. Not possible during weekends.Other working condition might be possible after arrangement with the responsible doctor.
You have to attend 80% of the time of the clerkship (4 weeks), or else you will not receive the certificate. The student must bring a Student handbook from his NMO. |

| Application documents & deadline | 1)IFMSA Appliation Form (AF) with 2 photos.The student must choose 3DTFFERENT cities and 3DIFERRENT departments.Only one surgery dep. and one medical dep. can be chosen.
2)Letter of motivation. Adressed to the Tutor, written in word document,writing size 12, and it should be between1/2-1 1/2 page.Must include why the student would like to come to Norway,why he chose this particular departmet and what would he like to obtain from this clerkship. 3)English language certificate. 4)Letter of recommendation from faculty Dean. 5)Insurance documents ( not later than with CA/CC ) The LCs will not accept AFs without these documents. Deadline for AF and other documents is at the GA in March.ANY aF OR PAPERS DELIVERED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND THE CLERKSHIP WILL BE CANCELLED. We accept only digital documents(scanned from the original ones) |

| Insurance | Insurance(health and Travel) is obligated. The local exchange committee can demand to see the policy upon arrival. The insurance papers must be included with AF or with CC ( latest ). Students who arrive to Norway without insurance papers will not be able to attend exchange. They can buy insurance in Norway, but this is extremely expensive! |

| Board & Lodging | Will be provided by the local committee if bilateral agreement. Notice: only 1 free meal/workingday will be provided.

| Social Program | Each host town has their own social program. This is often sent to the student along with the CA/CC. |
| Substitutions | Possible, but not recommended! The same sex and accept the same department and period. Within 4 weeks before the exchange starts.substititions from countries which need Visa is not possible. |
| Cancellations | Within 2 weeks!! To the local contact person and the NEO of Norway, by e-mail. please send the cansellation form by email |
| Visas | Tourist VISA will do. All students who will need a VISA to Norway will get an Invitation Letter in English. This is to be given to the norwegian embassy in the students country or the nearest one abroad. The Norwegian NEO cannot help students who apply for VISA through a foreign embassy (Ex; the Danish one )! for more info. visit www.udi.no choose språk, then choose your language. |
| Special remarks | 1)the period 15.08-15.09 is offered by only one city, Oslo. those places will be given for the first 13 applicators.
2) The students have to bring a white coat and a stethoscope. 3) IMPORTANT!! The students have to PROVE that they are not carriers of MRSA BEFORE coming to Norway. The test should be taken a two weeks before arrival. If the student is a carrier he/she will not be allowed to enter hospitals in Norway and the clerkship will be cancelled. 4)the student must prove that he is not carrier of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. the test must be done at the student home country and the result must be brought along with MRSA-test. |
