Visas Do not forget to take your passport with you, even if you do not need a visa!!!

Most of you do not need a visa for Serbia. However, students from Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan and some other countries do. Sometimes the procedure might last for a whole month. Please keep that in mind and apply for it on time!!!
Unfortunately we cannot speed up the process of issuing, so it’s all up to the regulations in the Serbian embassy in the particular country. But, we will send all the necessary documents!

Special remarks *In order to have a clerkship in Obstetrics you have to do the nasal and oral sample test in the hospital where you’ll have the clerkship. It will take one week, so during that time you will practise Gynaecology. It is compulsory for Serbian students as well. It is charged from the exchangee and costs around 5 euros, in the local currency, so please check out with your health insurance whether they will cover it.
Do not forget to bring the hospital PANTS and a SHIRT (no matter what color) beside your white coat for this department, because the hospital do not provide them, and it is NECESSARY in order to enter the delivery room!

*Every student will have a contact person who will get in touch with the exchangee (it doesn’t necessarily have to be LEO, but you will have his/her contact in your CA) It’s VERY IMPORTANT to inform your contact person about your EXACT time and place of arrival, so you could be picked up and transferred to the place you’d be lodged.

* Do not forget to bring your own towels, because the dormitories do not provide them.

* you should bring your umbrella, even if you’re coming in summertime, it might always rain. In the last couple of years, summer has been particularly rainy

* if you have Euro26 and/or ISIC card, do take it with you. Serbia is a member of the European and world student discount network

*it would be useful to bring your mobile phone with you, so it could be easier to communicate with our activists for the social program

*please visit the website http://www.ifmsa-serbia.org/en/impressions.html and read the impressions of the students who had their clerkship in Serbia

We also have a blog about exchange with useful hints
