| Level of studies | Clinical. Pre-Clinical on mutual basis only. |
| Type of Clerkship | Clinical, at university affiliated departments. |
| Languages | Comprehensive knowledge of spoken and written Hebrew or English. |

| Working Conditions | Sunday through Thursday, 6-8 hours a day. The routine work is carried out in Hebrew, but all doctor and many patients speak English.
White coat is supplied. Please, bring your stethoscope. No dress code. |
| Disciplines | The Application should include at least 3 different departments of choice; otherwise students will be placed in any available department.

General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery, Urology. |
| Periods & Towns | At areas: Be’er-Sheva, Haifa, Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Eilat.

| Application documents & deadline | Electronic Application Forms (eAFs) MUST be sent at least 4 months before the clerkship starts. We do not need any other papers sent to us! Just 2 Photographs with your name & home country on the back! Students should come to hospital with immunization and insurance papers.

| Insurance | Participants coming to Israel for the IFMSA exchange program are responsible for meeting their own health & accident care costs, including hospitalization. It is therefore IMPERATIVE that all participants be in possession of a PERSONAL Health and Accident Insurance. Students who fail to produce copies of their insurance risk having their exchange period automatically canceled without any refund.
The Federation of Israeli Medical Students (“FIMS” ) or any person such as: hosting hospitals, dorms, social program organizers, operators and any other hosts will neither provide nor offer medical care or insurance coverage to participants, and are not responsible in any way for the health and safety of the exchange student. Malpractice insurance is not obligatory, but RECOMMENDED. |
| Pocket Money | No pocket money agreements. |
| Board & Lodging | Lodging - Free. (in dorms or with hosting student) The period of exchange is the period of housing as well - check-in/out: not before and not after.
If you do not arrive or leave within the check-in/out hours/dates, please be advised that there are Youth Hostels all over Israel http://wiki.ifmsa.org/scope/index.php?title=Hostels It is advisable to book in advance. We cannot provide or assist in housing facilities before or after exchange period and for family or friends. Food - Lunch is provided at the hospital's staff dining room for low cost - subsidized price. |
| Social Program | During July & August. Meetings, trip/s exploring Israel. When offered, the program is mailed to the student.

| Substitutions | Substitution is possible for the same period, department, sex and study status as originally confirmed. The substitute’s Application Form, must arrive to our office not later than 30 days before the 1st day of the exchange period. |
| Cancellations | Must be sent to NEO FIMS Israel by mail ASAP |
| Visas | Students participating in the IFMSA exchange program have TOURIST status in the State of Israel. If the applicant requires a tourist entry visa to enter the State of Israel, it is the applicant’s responsibility to make all inquiries and arrangements through an Israeli embassy prior to registering with the Program. |
| Special remarks | Immunization status:
Please note, that before beginning an exchange rotations in Israel, you have to complete the full course of immunization as follows: MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), polio, hepatitis B virus (HBV), tetanus-diphtheria and skin test with PPD (tuberculosis). It is mandatory to carry with you while participating in this Program a Hebrew or English original documentary evidence of valid immunization status of the above immunizations. Participants who fail to show documentation of the above required obligatory immunizations at this Program authorities, risk having their exchange automatically canceled without any refund. We do not meet students at airport! Please, report to hospital & housing, as written on your "Card of Acceptance". Check the website for directions. FIMS - ISRAEL reserves the right to cancel any exchange period & housing period if it receives any complaints of misconduct or unethical practice both in hospital & at the lodgings. The students responsible for such acts are held liable for any damage occurrence during the exchange. We recommend including clothing suitable for trips like shoes, bathing-suit & towel. Academic Quality - FIMS Israel supports Academic Quality. The Academic Quality logbook should be filled in order to obtain the exchange certificate - this will be checked by your own country's exchange officer when you return home.
