| Working Conditions | -Must undergo similar working conditions as Indonesian students
-Must obey all the regulations at the clinical department and the hospital. -Must not leave the clerkship before the time agreed previously. -Must wear FORMAL SHIRT with COLLAR. Please have respectable performance as medical student at hospital. -Please take your exchange time seriously. It's one month chance to study bunch of tropical medicine cases and unique diseases that you might only can see in developed countries such as Indonesia! -Unilateral FEE: 280 Euro! |

| Application documents & deadline | AF and documents must be received in March Meetings or 3 MONTHS BEFORE your clerkship starts. All documents that will be submitted in March Meeting must be saved as softcopy in CD/VCD/DVD and hardcopy.
ALL students MUST enclose: 1. Official Letter of Recommendation from student's DEAN to the HOSTING University, containing the point that student is RECOMMENDED to join clinical exchange in X, X, and X Department in HOSTING UNIVERSITY as noted in student's priorities 2. proof of enrollment 3. Student's Transcript. This is a list of your exams marks.. Again, PLEASE do those THREE documents OFFICIALLY and don't forget to PUT DEAN STAMP on them. Letters should be arranged SOON after you heard from your SCOPE NMO National Exchange Officer about your final placement in Indonesia (in which University), usually after March Meeting you will get this info. 4. a copy of passport 5. a copy of language certificate 6. a letter of motivation 7. a curriculum vitae 8. a copy of the health insurance 9. 3 passport sized pictures 10.a copy of health statement that you are free from any disease |

| Board & Lodging | Students will be placed in a host family or a boarding house, depends on the local's preference.
Meals will be provided twice a day, i.e breakfast and dinner. Variety in each local. Lunch will be available at the university's cafetaria, or elsewhere. Variety in each local. We have a public transportation that might surprise you by its simplicity. Asian Public Transportation. You'll enjoy this experience! Other kinds of transportations are also available. So, ask your contact person about the detail of your transportation during the exchange period. |
| Social Program | Most local will arrange 1-4 times social program in a clerkship; but it can be more _^ |
| Substitutions | Must be of the same sex and same period, town and department.
Substitutions must be informed AT LEAST 12 WEEKS BEFORE starting the clerkship and AFs have to be sent at the time. |
| Cancellations | PLEASE MAKE A NOTE! Do A CANCELLATION LETTER from DEAN of student which state the reason of cancellation. CANCELLATION LETTER from NEO is also IMPORTANT. This is to prevent student's underestimate related to her/his exchange period.
For unilateral exchange, you will immediately lose your contract and must pay administration fee. For bilateral exchange, you will have to pay for administration fee and will still be able to resume your contract. Should you choose not to pay for the administration fee, then we will consider that you have sent a student to Indonesia, and you still have to accept our student. |
| Visas | Social and Cultural visa is recommended!!
This type of visa is only for a limited time and CANNOT BE EXTENDED. We cannot help you if your visa is overdue. Therefore we will not responsible should any problem occur. |
| Special remarks | -Bring your own white coat and stethoscope
-Please wear RESPECTABLE CLOTHES as mentioned above: SHIRT with COLLAR (for male and female) -Wear SHOES instead of SANDALS; but feminine shoesandals for female are okay -Female students must wear KNEE LENGTH SKIRT or longer. If not please wear TROUSERS instead of jeans. In some departments of UMY female students have to wear special dress. This is a way that you will feel more about our life, nothing to be worried about this. -Start from this year, SCOPE INDONESIA has decided to use LOGBOOK. So please bring your logbook to be confirmed to our hospitals so that you can gain more in this exchange. Supervisors will sign on your logbook if they think you participate seriously and curiously. If you are not enthusiastic we CANNOT guarantee that you'll get their signature. -Credit cannot be given by our hospitals. -Please fill SCOPE EVALUATION FORM at the end of your exchange month. -Unilateral Fee : 280 Euro. Please bring 50 Euro to March Meeting GA. You can pay this to your country's National Exchange Officer (NEO) to be given to Indonesian NEO in IFMSA General Assembly. The rest of the payment can be given up on arrival. -We cannot pleace couple in the same hostfamily nor hostels. Please notice this! -Again, please take your exchange time seriously. Don't skip any lectures. Certification from IFMSA would be only given for you who have attended at least 18 days effective hospital working). |
